Dear Members of Nordfjordlag,
The 2024 annual meeting of the Nordfjordlag will be held on Sunday,
September 15th at the Green Lake Bible Camp in Spicer, MN.
Now for some exciting news. Please check out the new "Nordfjordlaget in
America Est 1909" private Facebook Group. At last look there were
94 members with many joining from Norway. Join in on the fun and you may
find contacts from Nordfjord you are related to.
So, I look forward to seeing you at the Stevne. Perhaps you can invite a
relative or acquaintance to be your guest. It might inspire them to
join.

Afternoon visits with coffee/cookies
All meals/snacks will be catered. The cost is $40 for members and $50 for guests which covers the entire day (no reduction for events missed). We request that the reservation form (or cancellations) be received no later than Monday September 2, 2024.
Membership dues have been increased but are still at the amazing price of $10 per year.

Over the past years Green Lake Bible Camp has become our stevne home. It is located on the south side of Green Lake, Spicer, MN, just over 1 mile east of Kandiyohi County Road 8. The address is 9916 Lake Avenue South (building on north side of the road) and the Bible Camp Chapel (Stave Church) is located just across Lake Avenue on the south side of the road next to the large parking lot.
We have created a occasional newsletter that is being sent out via Email to members and interested people who have joined our E-Mail List. If you have changed your address or have not given it to us please go to the E-Mail List found on the home page.

Nordfjordlagets Trip Committee has been working along with the Nordfjord History Association
all winter on plans for our 2025 trip to Norway. The dates are designed to join Norway on their grand 200 year
celebration of the first planned immigrant crossing from Norway to the United States.
The committees have planed two trips.
One for Norwegian Nordfjordings to visit America and the
other is for American Nordfjordings to visit Norway.
The Norwegian group is currently here in America.
The schedule is for the American group to meet in Bergan, Norway
on Wednesday June 18, 2025 and the planned trip to end in Norway on Friday June 27th.
Travelers will be able to add side trips on either or both ends of the planned events.
